This project explores a friction-based connection system inspired by the traditional Chinese mortise and tenon joint. By leveraging the surface friction properties of Styrofoam (polystyrene), modular units with adjustable dimensions interlock to form a cohesive three-dimensional spatial structure. This method demonstrates how simple friction-based connections can be adapted for contemporary architectural applications, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in design.
